This notice explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
We handle your information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Walter Garner, a registered biokineticist, trading as Form Kinetics, Cape Town, South Africa.
We are the responsible party for your personal information, and Walter Garner is our Information Officer.

What we collect
Only what you choose to send us through the contact and booking forms: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your preferred date and time, and your message. Please don't put detailed medical information in these forms. We will discuss your health history in your consultation.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, arrange your sessions and run our practice. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Our newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address only to send occasional updates about articles and news. Your address is stored with Resend, our email provider. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and our email:
- Cloudflare (website hosting, security and bot protection)
- Resend (delivering your form message to us)
- Zoho (our business email)
Some of these providers may process information on servers outside South Africa. We share only what is needed to run these services, and we do not share your information with anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable technical and practical steps to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, password-protected systems and limiting access to those who need it. If we ever discover a security breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a client relationship are deleted after 24 months.
If you become a client, your enquiry details become part of your health record. In line with the HPCSA's guidelines on the keeping of patient health records, we keep health records securely for at least six years after your last visit (longer for children and where the law requires), and then dispose of them securely.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@formkinetics.com. If you ask us to delete information we are required to keep, such as a health record covered by the HPCSA guidelines, we will explain why and delete it once the required period ends. For anything else, we will delete it when you ask.
